1- Me Ceccarelli, tell us a bit about yourself?
I am an associate lawyer of Fabbro & Partners SA-FLD. We are a law firm based in several cities in French-speaking Switzerland (Lausanne, Geneva, Fribourg, Monthey and Neuchâtel) which aims to offer 360° legal services to SMEs and individuals.
From an Italian father and a Swedish mother, I grew up in the Lausanne region where I did most of my studies. After passing my bar exam, I completed my university studies in England. I then began my career as a lawyer in a law firm in Geneva before joining the Fabbro & Partners SA – FLD.
2- Why did you choose the profession of lawyer? Your specialization?
The law being particularly interdisciplinary, a lawyer is led to be interested in many fields. Routine therefore does not go hand in hand with the profession of lawyer. In addition, this job challenges you daily to solve problems which, when effective and concrete solutions are found, is particularly rewarding and stimulating.
As for my favorite areas, I have a particular attraction for real estate law, commercial law, merger acquisition of companies and more broadly, contract law.
3- Do you have a quote that guides you on a daily basis?
“Life isn’t about waiting for the storms to pass, it’s about learning how to dance in the rain”. Seneca
4- In your opinion, how will technology/digitalization change your profession?
In all trades, technological advances have considerably contributed to the growth of our society, in particular by allowing rapid, immediate and almost instantaneous communication. When you think of the Covid-19 crisis, digital technologies have made it possible to handle cases remotely, even though deadlines were suspended and hearings postponed.
In addition, the new tools linked to digitization increasingly allow lawyers to relieve themselves of sometimes time-consuming tasks to concentrate on the substantive processing and strategy of their cases. Digitization is therefore, in my opinion, essential to the development of our profession.
5- What do you think of the concept of participatory shareholding?
Participatory shareholding as put forward by SIPA Crowd Immo has the advantage of making investments “in stone” accessible while minimizing risks and avoiding many administrative hassles for shareholders. It is therefore in my opinion a model that will certainly develop exponentially in the coming years.
6- How does your relationship with SIPA Crowd Immo crowd immo materialize?
We collaborate with SIPA Crowd Immo on legal issues. Communication with the whole team is extremely pleasant in addition to being easy and efficient.
7- How would you define the SIPA Crowd Immo spirit?
SIPA Crowd Immo is a real estate partner of choice, reliable and innovative in its field. Both the expertise in real estate and the quality of the services offered, as well as the availability of the team are particularly appreciable guarantees of quality. Many thanks to Me Carlo Ceccarelli, for agreeing to answer all of our questions.
